Racism is a pandemic! The recent far-right riots across parts of the UK prove it yet again. Please allow us to mourn the tragic crime committed against children in Southport, the deep, devastating loss to their parents, close families, friends and community. We are sad and empathise very deeply with the affected families. We are extremely pained at this injury to humanity! May the souls of the children rest in peace. May their families be comforted. It will be hard….. The recent riots are not a sympathetic response to the tragedy. Instead, they are an excuse for the far right to exhibit their ignorance and hatred toward Black and Ethnic Minority communities. These riots are the result of unchecked racism and discrimination, years of spreading lies and hate about immigration, unfairly targeting racialised communities as the UK’s main problem. This has led to harmful stereotypes and prejudices, particularly against Black and Ethnic Minority groups. We should be asking: What motivated this young person to commit such a vicious attack? Why did this happen? What led to this tragedy? How can we prevent any future occurrences? Knife crimes are regularly committed by individuals of all races, often with targeted violence against minoritised communities. We live in a civilised Great Britain, and racism and violence only undermine the diverse society that built this country. The rioters should focus on issues such as: – Eradicating knife and gun crimes. – Shutting down shops selling dangerous weapons to youth. – Stopping the exploitation of young people by drug trafficking gangs and – Holding UK tabloids accountable for spreading racial hate. Etc. *Stop violence *Stop knife crimes *Stop race hate! *Stop racism. – Educate yourself – Educate your family – Educate your children – Educate your staff – Educate your organization – Educate your political party *Diversity built Britain.* #southport #traged #children #farright #stophate #stopracism #diversitybuiltbritain #antiracism #education #diversity
