This training will support new migrant families to the UK to integrate and be acquainted with positive parenting in the UK, the Law and cultural differences.

• Participants will learn ways in which they can integrate into the UK culture, gain an understanding the cultural differences to overcome barriers faced by new migrant parents from Africa.

• Gain practical knowledge of the Law, social work and social care values and ethics and dealing with intercultural difference.

• Participants will be able to reflect on their culture, their perception and worldview and the influence this might have on their parenting style.

They will receive advice and learn some positive parenting strategies.
